What is Aluminum Composite?
Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) is a type of building material that consists of two thin layers of aluminum enclosing a non-aluminum core. The core is typically made of a mineral-filled plastic, which gives the material its lightweight and durable properties. ACM is widely used in building facades, interior walls, and signage due to its appealing aesthetics and ease of maintenance.
Key characteristics of ACM:
- Durability: ACM is resistant to weathering, corrosion, and UV radiation, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
- Aesthetic Flexibility: It comes in a variety of finishes, colors, and provides an excellent surface for print designs.
- Lightweight: Compared to traditional materials like steel or solid aluminum, ACM is lighter.
- Ease of Maintenance: The smooth surface of ACM is easy to clean and maintain.
- Moisture Resistant: ACM is moisture resistant and will not degrade when exposed to water.
ACM is valued for its combination of aesthetic appeal and practical performance in various architectural and construction applications. We think it is a great material for planters too!
How do I care for my planter?
- Wipe Clean.
- Use mild soap if needed.
- Avoid harsh chemical and abrasive cleaners.
- Enjoy!
Can indoor planters be used outdoors?
- Our indoor and outdoor planters are constructed in the same structural manner. The main difference is our indoor planters have printed ink on the exterior and that ink may fade more quickly during outdoor use.
- We recommend using our indoor planters indoors only. Covered patios and porches are may be acceptable if they are protected from sun and weather.
